Attend a Meeting

PTA meetings occur once a month on Monday evenings at 6:30pm.  They are typically about an hour long but can be shorter or longer depending on the topics discussed, and if there are any items to be voted on. Normally, PTA meetings take place in the gym at Westmore but due to Covid restrictions, this year’s meetings are being held on Zoom. A link to the PTA meetings will be included in Mr. Dart’s weekly newsletter and an email directly from the PTA. PTA meetings are listed on the calendar.

Participate in PTA Fundraisers

Amazon Smile
The AmazonSmile foundation will donate 0.5% of all Amazon purchases to our Westmore PTA. The key to making this program a success is to shop through smile.amazon.com NOT www.amazon.com.  Select Westmore PTA Inc. (Lombard) as your charitable organization and shop shop shop!  Supporting the PTA couldn’t be easier.

Box Tops for Education
No more clipping and bringing box tops into school!All you need is your phone! Download the Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then use the app to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will identify Box Tops products on your receipt and automatically credit your school’s earnings online. That’s pretty easy! So easy in fact, you can get grandparents and friends in on the earning too. Anyone can download the app, scan their receipts, and raise money for Westmore!

Restaurant Nights
The Westmore PTA likes to partner with local restaurants to raise money for our school by holding a restaurant night. A portion of the sales during restaurant night are donated to the Westmore PTA.

Volunteer for a Committee or Special Event

There are several committees that are currently vacant or run by PTA members with children who will soon move on to middle school. We need fresh faces and creative ideas to ensure that PTA can continue to function.

If you do not wish to participate in a specific committee or for a specific event, but are interested in becoming a volunteer at Westmore please mention that in the comment section of the volunteer form. Projects like making photocopies, assisting with bulletin boards, helping out in the LRC, putting together learning packets, etc. often arise during the school year and general PTA volunteers are always appreciated!

Serve on the Westmore PTA Board

We are currently in search of a new PTA president, PTA vice president. PTA officers serve a 2 year term.

Our current president, Katie Mueller, has a graduating 5th grader and our PTA Vice President, Kris Castaldi,  has served her full term. Katie and Kris are more than happy to show a new PTA president and VP the ropes this year in preparation for next year.
